Gift from MIL

This is the gift my MIL made me. You can't really tell from this shot, but it's a white ripple afghan with rainbow trim. That rainbow trim is made with a yarn we both loved, but they stopped making the color. We kind of stockpiled the last skeins we could find (all four of them and I ended up giving mine to her), and this is her result.

It never ceases to amaze me, what my mil can do with a hook. I can't find the pic, but she made us the most beautiful double-wedding ring afghan for our wedding. It took her months and involved thousands of pieces she had to crochet, then sew together. It's beautiful. And she made me the one to the right about ten years ago.

I must have started a hundred afghans, but the only ones I ever finished were the ones for my babies. Oh, and one granny square afghan I am hugely proud of because it's finished. Heh. I can't do it anymore because it hurts my hands too much, and I'm not into delayed gratification.

By the way, got into the bathroom. I had to hack away at the door frame to do it, but by golly, I did it!
