My son and I were on our way to Barnes and Noble to get him some books (the kids are currently into Lemony Snicket) and I saw this view. I liked it so I grabbed my ever-present camera phone and got this.
I remember the first blogs I did and how important it was for me to be taken seriously. That meant, in part, being a photo artiste. I had to take photos of everything (and I mean everything) and add it to my blog. I spent four hundred dollars on my digital camera and I took it with me everywhere. My favorite series of photos were the ones I took going 75 on the 405 freeway. I would hang out the window as my husband drove, snap my shots then tell the kids to never let me catch them doing that.
Let it be said that I was not a photographic artiste. But that camera has been a lot of fun. I don't carry it with me anymore except for special things like vacations and events. But I do have my cell phone with me all the time and it comes in handy when I want - well, a pic. Heh.
