- To hold everything together, keep all the balls in the air, save everyone's life and make everything perfect
The euphoria of having made Christmas just right has worn off and revealed the effort to be as much a labor of love as one of bi-polar pathology. I am now afraid of the inevitable post-hypomanic crash. This and the situation with that other branch of the family tree has me deeply discouraged. Not the best way to start the new year.
Did you know that the physical movement of the facial muscles during a smile releases endorphins that make you feel happier? It's true - the very act of smiling makes a person happier. It's a trick I often use and am now sitting here, smiling off and on like an idiot, so I can be in a happier mood and not ruin New Year's Eve for the kids.
