In the beginning, there was a writer with a small amount of talent and way too much time on her hands at the end of the day. She looked out across the vast, empty void of her desk and saw nothing more meaningful than the myriad of treasured trinkets made and gifted to her by three sets of hands so achingly small growing achingly fast.
So she swept her hands across the void and spent the next half hour trying to piece together the candle holder/ashtray that landed on the floor. When she was done, she was older and wiser about the affairs of her desk. She decided to share the wisdom of her (yeah, forty one, so what?!) years with the world.
Her blog was born.
Actually, this is my third or fourth blog. I used to do my own code by hand. I mention this only because it sounds cool to have once known how to do it (and have had the time to indulge it). These days, between family and assorted other things you will no doubt grow achingly tired of reading about, it makes sense to let someone else who knows way more about the latest versions of assorted acronyms that make up the files of the net do the coding for me. Trust me when I say you are really thankful for this. I could have subjected you to doing it the old way. In fact, I create themes for Pocket PCs and intended to have a website where I distributed them freely. I was thinking of either Girly Pink or Retro Aqua, but trying to make an intelligent site from scratch right now that makes sense to various browsers and screen resolutions gives me the screaming willies. Maybe there is a way to host the themes here? Any ideas? I'll have to check into that when I am done folding the laundry and Windows is through crashing.
In the meantime, enjoy this lovely pre-formatted template :) This is better than anything else I would have come up with, anyway.
