Her LPs are a little different from her sister's. The bones in her back are so close together they need to do it with a kind of x-ray machine, so they can see exactly where the needle needs to go without having to guess. The oldest girl has had to be sedated the last few times because it's been such an ordeal.
Her doctor and I are begging the man who does her sister's LPs to do her, too. But he's a pediatric doctor, and my oldest just turned eighteen. If he won't do it, we have to try to find someone in radiology willing to do it today, with sedation, or I'll have to take her through the ER process and she'll likely need to be admitted - if we have to do the ER thing, it's probable that it will be so late they don't have any radiologists and we have to wait till morning. That means admission for pain control, etc.

Whee.
Did I remember to mention how tired I am?
This morning, I was supposed to be home by 9:30 am so I could let the repair guy in. He needs to finish fixing our tub - leak is fixed, but due to missing part the water pressure is a trickle.
There it is again - pressure issues. Weird.
Anyway, I was ten minutes late because I had to go to three different places to find the gel patches the girls are using on their foreheads. They had been using cold packs, but it was hard to keep them against the forehead and sleep, too. You had to find a way to hold them there. The older girl found these other things as a way to help her sister, and now both girls are using them.
Where was I going with all that?
Can't remember. Next time, I'll have to write it down before I need to google a patch link.
I guess the point is that I am stretched a little thin right now.
